Zambos & Siega Lulu Clutch

Zambos & Siega Lulu Clutch If you are a rocker chic or love the rocker chic look, do we have a clutch for you! The Zambos & Siega Lulu Clutch is a breath of fresh rocker chic air in this fringe and stud infested world. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for fringe and studs, but it is nice to see a change of pace.

Pebbled faux grey leather has metal ring detailing and tiered chains at the front of the bag. Since the ring detailing and tiered chains are just at the front of the bag I think it looks fabulous. If this detailing was on the front and the back I don’t think I would be as much of a fan. The antiqued brass hardware looks great against the grey material. This is an ideal clutch to grab if you are looking to add a bit of flare to your outfit without going over the top. Buy through Shopbop for $121.

Marc By Marc Jacobs Doodle Print Tote

My view on all-over printed bags is not the most favorable. I make an exception for Goyard, of course (well… they are hand-painted, not printed, and that is a different matter entirely), and I now make an exception for this Marc by Marc Jacobs Doodle Print Tote. Why, you ask?

Well, everyone’s pretty acquainted with the magnificent art of the doodle. But these are no children’s drawings, no, not at all. These are sophisticated doodles, doodles that were created by someone who certainly paid little to no attention in class for quite some time. The classroom is where doodles are born, people. I know this. You know this. It may even be a scientifically proven fact. But to have a tote bag covered with doodles? Pure genius.

Monserat de Lucca Divina Clutch

Oh my gosh, this clutch is Rachel Zoe saying worthy… BANANAS! You might have noticed once the weekend is on the horizon I have a huge love for clutches. There is something about them that is so fun, flirty and feminine. While there are so many clutches out there to choose from, I can’t help but want to check them all out. Certainly, there are some suited for one occasion better than the next, but either way, clutches are phenomenal and I love them! Another clutch I love is this one right here!

Santi Beaded Disco Bag

Last week, we spoke briefly about the “disco” component of the Foley + Corinna Disco City Bag. To me, it seemed kind of lacking in the showy, shiny disco spirit. Sure, it’s a little bag that you could strap on and take to a club, but doesn’t “disco” mean more than that?

Obviously I’m not the only one that thinks that disco means something slightly more grand and glittery, because the Santi Beaded Disco Bag is definitely much more of an embodiment of the word as I understand it.

Foley + Corinna Disco City Bag

One of my favorite colloquial terms of all time is “disco nap.” For those that aren’t familiar, it’s the nap that you take in the early evening, in between your normal, daily activities and the night’s revelry and/or drinking. Anyone who’s ever been to college knows the importance of the disco nap (or naps in general. Really, they’re beautiful) and has taken many in his or her life, whether or not their proper name was known at the time.

So what does that have to do with the Foley + Corinna Disco City Bag? Besides the inclusion of the word “disco,” nothing. I just like writing about things that aren’t entirely handbag related sometimes. Shhhh, don’t tell anyone. Anyway, so what about the bag?

Olivia Harris Zip Pocket Leather Clutch

There is perhaps no new line that I find more intriguing than Olivia Harris. Designed by former Marc Jacobs alum and Gryson creator Joy Gryson, the line is exceptionally well-priced and includes a lot of young, hip designs in neutral leather colors.

The most affordable bag in the new line is the Olivia Harris Zip Pocket Leather Clutch, and it just might be one of my favorites.

Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Chloe Tote Bag

I’m sick of celebrity clothing lines. Absolutely, completely sick. Companies needs to stop giving them out. Gwen Stefani’s is the only one that will ever be any good, and she’s already got it, so we’re done here, ok?

Seeing the Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Chloe Tote Bag on sale at ShopBop was my tipping point today. This whole thing has officially jumped the shark.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Softy Zip Wallet

Is there anything in particular that makes you want to buy a new handbag? If you are like most of us here on the Purse Blog team, you might not need a specific reason other than just because you want to. Frankly, that can be reason enough. However, there are certain times when I hear about a recent purchase or gift and it sparks my interest. Case in point: Megs’ birthday was this past weekend and Vlad bought her a fabulous new Louis Vuitton wallet. This got me thinking, “hey, I need a new wallet too”!

See by Chloe Joy Rider Tote

Every time that I think I might be able to jump on board with what See by Chloe is doing, I find another one of their bags that absolutely hits me in the face with its terribleness.

Their leather bags have been growing on my quite a bit lately, and the more I look at them, the more I like them. But then I saw the See by Chloe Joy Rider Tote, and it has nearly sent me back to square one.

So many people were in love with the Marc Jacobs Petal to the Metal Sasha Shoulder Bag when we wrote about it last month that i couldn’t wait for other bags from the line to start showing up online. With such an obvious hit on their hands, they had to have more waiting in the wings, right?

Right indeed! The Marc by Marc Jacobs Petal to the Metal Flap Pouchette is the smaller, less expensive version that still has all the attitude of the original.
