Oh my gosh, I have just fallen in love with studs all over again. The past few months the handbag world has been infiltrated with studs and fringe. While some bags completely nail the look others fall extremely short. This bag does not fall short, it actually makes me want to buy it right now. I love where the studs are placed on the Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent Billy Hobo. I am not used to seeing the studs on the shoulder strap, but here, it totally works.

Kara Ross Gemma C Clutch

This is a gorgeous clutch. It is as simple as that. I love clutches that are sleek, sophisticated and elegant. The Kara Ross Gemma C Clutch embodies all of these things. When I look in my closet, most of the clutches I own are a little more edgy and less sleek. I think it is time to switch things up a bit. Especially with the Holiday Season right around the corner, we all could use a classy clutch for a dinner or holiday party.

Rebecca Minkoff Tess Drawstring Bag

Another day, another Rebecca Minkoff bag for me to drool all over.

It seems like just as soon as I’m feebly able to convince myself to not buy a particular bag that she makes, she comes out with another shape that I like and I have to start convincing myself all over again that I can’t afford a new bag right now. Rebecca, why oh why do you do these things to me?

For today, it’s the Rebecca Minkoff Tess Drawstring Bag with which I’m struggling.

Berin CC Snakeskin Tote

Berin CC Snakeskin ToteI have to say, I’ve always wanted a large exotic tote to carry around. Of course, this tote has to be constructed perfectly as to not look sloppy or like zero thought went into the bag. I’ve seen my fair share of large bags that look ok from a distance, but up close, yikes – a disaster! While I haven’t had a chance to see this particular bag in person yet, I am totally loving the Berin CC Snakeskin Tote.

Rafe Agyness Chain-Embroidered Crossbody

As far as bag brands go, I’ve never been much for Rafe – they have a very distinct aesthetic that tends to be very over-the-top, and they’re usually extremely feminine, which has never really been my look. Sometimes I kind of like what they do, other times I think that their bags really limit what could be a huge customer base.

I have no second thoughts about the Rafe Agyness Chain-Embroidered Crossbody, however. It’s on-trend and just restrained enough to be cool and still have lots of personality.

Some of the new Kooba bags are lizard embossed and I like it! You might remember the oh so cute Kooba Lizard Embossed Mini Crossbody Bag that I wrote about recently. I love that bag for its unique shape and style. While the Kooba bag I am writing about today doesn’t have a shape that is that different I am loving it none-the-less.

Longchamp Roseau Crocodile-Embossed Leather Tote

I remember being a small child and going to the hair salon with my mom. Megs and I would sit there patiently (well as close to patiently as possible) while my mom had her hair washed, cut and styled. As Megs and I sat and attempted to stay out of trouble and not fight with one another I remember watching all the other ladies come in and out of the salon. Each one of them seemed to carry a very large bag and it always intrigued me. Coming across the Longchamp Roseau Crocodile-Embossed Leather Tote instantly reminded me of those very bags I just described.

Rebecca Minkoff Darling Hobo

We know a lot of people having been waiting for the Rebecca Minkoff Darling Hobo to make its debut in the beautiful Purple Haze color this month, and I’ve made my first sighting of it (if you saw it somewhere before this, boo, don’t pee on my glee): Bloomingdales.com has it up for immediate delivery! Not a pre-order. I carried a purple hobo for the entirety of last year, and lemme tell ya: it’s a good thing. Buy through Bloomingdale’s for $495.

Everyone needs a little sparkle in his or her life. When you’re a woman, it’s easier to find it – jewelry, fancy clothes, etc. And if you’re not taking the opportunity to have some sparkle, you really should.

And you should start with the Kate Spade El Morocco Paola Clutch.

Lockheart Feeling Loopy Michelle Satchel

October 1st, 2009 / Posted in $400 - $599 by Shannon.

I’ve been infatuated with Lockheart bags ever since I saw on in person a few months ago. The Candice Hobo was in our office and I loved so much about it. More than anything, I loved the way the cutouts looked all over the bag. This is the kind of detailing that has to be strategic so that it doesn’t appear sloppy. Lockheart definitely nailed the look. Today, I have another bag where the detailing could certainly be hit or miss depending on how it is executed.
