My mother is a devoted Isabella Fiore fan. When I showed her this Isabella Fiore Russian to Woodstock Hannah Satchel she exclaimed, “Oh, I love it! Is it Isabella Fiore?” She has the uncanny ability to spot Fiore’s designs, even on bags that are really strange. And as we know, some Fiore bags are like that. Even though I’m on the side of the spectrum that holds the belief that Fiore bags tend to look like carpets or furniture coverings, it’s nice to know that there is a following. I guess the bags are an acquired taste. But I actually like this satchel. In parts, anyways.

I like the idea of a wooden handle- it’s appealingly rustic and has a sort of peasant-style, Russian inspiration. Then the body of the satchel… oh, I think this is where Fiore made a boo-boo. I think the embroidery (though it is a beautiful design) is more suited to cloth, not lambskin; the body just doesn’t really go with the handle. Though I would not carry this, though, I like the fact that there are people out there that do adore this bag just the way it is. Buy through Bloomingdales for $595.

This is awful! Reminds me of the carpetbag my mom used to keep her knitting in.

I can’t think of the brand name, but it reminds me if those super-preppy little wooden-handled bags with the changeable fabrics? They were ugly when I first saw them back in the late 70’s/early 80’s. This isn’t any better. Sorry Isabella. I love some of your other designs, but this is just a funked-up Barbara Bush.

This one is certainly not for everyone, however this bag and the one called “Blossom” were sold out in seconds on Ideeli when they had IF event. I am dying for “Blossom” it is such a beautiful handbag with blue lining, but even on Avelle (formerly Bag Borrow Steal) it is waitlisted.
I only have one IF bag, have not seen it anywhere so do not know the name, bought it at Daffy’s in NYC and can not bring myself to wear it-just want to put it in a frame and hang it up on the wall
Just love IF leather and details
