Now this handbag is something I wouldn’t have expected to come from Botkier. In fact, I really had to stop and look at this bag rather closely in order to give it a fair review. Sometimes it is difficult for me to give an unbiased review when the bag seems so different, so outside of my personal realm of preference. However, I am going to try really hard with the Botkier Orion Snake Embossed Small Shoulder Bag.

Writing about Marc by Marc Jacobs bag is almost always very pleasant. They’re reasonably priced, made of really nice leather for their price tags, and most of the bag shapes come in enough colors that most people will be able to find one that they like.

For example, I’m not an overwhelming fan of the Marc by Marc Jacobs Pretty Nappa Lil Lissy Shoulder Bag, but I have a feeling that this sad tan of a neutral isn’t the only shade that it’s going to come in, and that sort of frees me up to think about the bag as a shape only. Which is great, because that color? Blech.

J. Crew Marabou Clutch

J. Crew tends to escape my mind, but every time I visit their website, without fail, my wish list piles up like that. Meaning very, very quickly. This past virtual trip, it was the J.Crew Marabou Clutch that caught my eager eye. Of course, a clutch covered with feathers isn’t difficult to spot, but what captured my attention was the extreme finesse that the feathers appeared to have.

They look soft and cuddly, much like one of my long-haired stuffed animals was before I spilled medicine all over it. But that’s another story, so let’s just say that it would be best to avoid that situation with this clutch. But that should go without saying, because I know I’d be devastated if I ruined this clutch, the feathers of which were apparently quite painstakingly stitched on row by row. From the fluffy looks of it, it’s quite a lot of rows of stork feathers.

I have to say, I miss the change of seasons. More than that, I miss the glorious array of colors displayed on trees in the north during the Fall. There are so many shades of one color that I usually am at complete and total awe. Then, for some reason, these kinds of staples make me think about handbag staples. There are designers and designs that fall into this category. Kate Spade definitely produces classic bags perfect for any season.

Rebecca Minkoff Croc Clutch

We’ve covered Rebecca Minkoff clutches more than a few times, but the latest incarnation of the signature clutch, this Rebecca Minkoff Croc Clutch, has completely blown my socks off- if that’s not a legitimate expression, than it should be. That’s all not to mention that I heard about this clutch in an entirely new way. How, you ask? My mother called me to rhapsodize about it.

Jack Rabbit Collection Twilight Messenger Bag

Yes, the bag itself jumped out at me and I saw something I liked. However, I also noticed the name of the bag and had to stop and think for a minute. So, how many of you are Twilight fans out there? Admittedly, I haven’t read any of the books, however, I saw the first Twilight movie on a flight to Hawaii earlier this year and I have to say, I liked it quite a bit. While, I won’t be standing in lines which wrap around buildings to see the next one, I am sure I will see it. Now my question today is, what came first, the movie or the name of this bag?

We haven’t covered a Furla bag in a little while. To be honest, sometimes I forget about Furla, but I really shouldn’t. These bags are functional, fashionable and versatile. Oh, and they usually come at a pretty good price point too. As I came across the Furla Carrie Tote today, I had to stop and pay attention. For starters, of course I will acknowledge that this is a pretty simple and classic tote. Yet, the subtle attention to details has captured my interest.

As of late, L.A.M.B. handbags have me guessing. There have been so many different handbags out there that I no longer know what to expect when I see one. At the beginning, like most of you, I was sure to identify a L.A.M.B. handbag from across the room. Yet, now, it is as if the design team is comfortable and willing to push themselves outside of their comfort zones. Thank goodness. While this isn’t the kind of bag that jumps out and screams, “Buy me now, Shannon”, it is intriguing.

American Retro Corina Fingerless Leather Gloves

American Retro Corina Leather Fingerless GlovesSo the American Retro Corina Fingerless Leather Gloves aren’t a handbag, I realize that. But they are a leather accessory (and a clever one, at that), so I thought that their existence may be of some interest to you guys.

They’re like over-the-knee boots, except they’re for your arms and they don’t make it hard to walk! Kind of neat, right. And I’ve always wondered what you would wear with a short-sleeved heavy coat, many of which seem to be populating fashionable stores for this winter. I mean, if it’s heavy, that means your arms are going to get cold if it’s cold enough outside to wear it, right?

Well these super fierce, industrial-influenced gloves solve that problem, should you have it. And it’s a problem I’d like to have, because I’d like to have a reason to buy a pair of these. Maybe I could just sit around my apartment and blog in them? I mean, they do leave your fingers free to type…Buy through ShopBop for $312.

Lauren Merkin Snake Fringe Clutch

Oh my goodness folks, this is a Lauren Merkin clutch. Who would have thought? I’ve become so used to the classic design of Lauren Merkin clutches that I actually did a double take when I came across the Lauren Merkin Snake Fringe Clutch. After I got passed my state of surprise, I found myself liking this clutch.
