No kidding: I’m approximately a half second away from ordering the Marc by Marc Jacobs Natasha Classic Q Shoulder Bag on Net-a-Porter. I’m barely restraining myself. The color? Beautiful. The leather? Soft. The size? Functional. The price? Reasonable.
While we very rarely do a review on the very same exact bag more than once, there are exceptions to every rule. It’s always fun to revisit a previously covered bag that is just a bit different. There are just some bags out there that are worth a revisit. The Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Drawstringy Leather Bag is a gorgeous bag. My love for this bag started when Amanda wrote about it a couple weeks ago. My love continued to grow when I actually saw the bag in person and my love just exploded when I saw that this bag is available in an unbelievable color called grape juice!
Hmmm, hot pink. What do you think of a hot pink handbag? Personally, I’m not a fan of hot pink on huge bags, but on smaller bags, sure why not?! It is always nice to add a bit of flash and spice to an outfit. The Rebecca Minkoff Exclusive 3-Zip Morning After Clutch is the kind of hot pink bag I am sure I would be able to rock. I am not exactly sure which outfit I would carry it with, but you better believe any black or gray outfit would be fabulous!
Whenever I pack for a trip, I’m always scrambling at the end to try and figure out how I should be traveling with my jewelry. I don’t have much in the way of expensive baubles, but I generally try to take good care of even the cheap stuff, and I’ve never found much of a good way to pack it. One time, at the last minute, I just decided to throw it all on and wear it there – and then I got to the airport and remembered why that wasn’t a genius idea.
Admittedly, there are probably lower-priced alternatives than the Felix Rey Emma Jewelry Pouch, but at the moment, it looks like an attractive and useful solution to a problem that I have constantly.
Minimalism usually isn’t part of my aesthetic (my preferences usually involve finding something tacky enough to choke a horse, and then dialing it back ever-so-slightly), but I’ll admit that it has its place. And this winter, when everything is covered with detail and embellishment, it’s even kind of surprising. Doesn’t the Michael Kors Patent Woven Clutch look like a breath of fresh air?
This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen the Magazine Clutch, but since Marc Jacobs continues to change everything up a bit, I figured it was worthwhile to discuss this particular version as well. I discussed the shape of this clutch almost a year ago. I liked it then and I like it now. Recently, Amanda wrote about the Stamped Velvet version which looks a bit more like this one.
Folks, I am really liking this clutch right now. While the color might need to grow on you, I think you might be surprised how nice it would look – especially with some of those dark fall outfits. The Jalda Ostrich Stamped Leather Brief Clutch is a gorgeous, simple and functional clutch that would look great in just about anyone’s hand. Jalda handbags are known for their functionality and there is nothing wrong with this.
My initial reaction to the Harajuku Lovers Graphic Typography Yippie Canvas Tote was that I think they stole New York magazine’s font. See it? In the N? I think that they’re the same. Their logo is pretty well-known, so I would think that it had to be done intentionally. And I think I kind of like it.
But what really struck me, on further inspection, was the price of the bag – about $40. Thank God that there’s still a brand out there pricing their canvas bags reasonably!
Sometimes, and Idea is just too complicated to be rendered in real life. There are too many elements, too many things happening at once, and too much opportunity for discord to bring every idea to fruition.
However, it appears that that didn’t stop the folks at Jerome Dreyfuss when they designed the Jerome Dreyfuss Luciene Suede Fringe Bag. Suede, leopard print, detachable fringe, zip-off pockets, magenta for contrast? It’s all here!
Ladies and gentlemen, it is official, Tory Burch really CAN produce some fabulous bags without her logo splashed all over it. Like most of you out there, I’ve become accustom to recognizing a Tory Burch bag from miles away due to the logo. This is all fine and good, but it really began to wear on my nerves. Then, I came across this beauty!
