I’ve been really on the fence when it comes to L.A.M.B. handbags. I find myself either loving something or totally hating it. Maybe it is the pattern or perhaps the color, but for the most part I can’t decide how I feel about the brand as a whole. However, the L.A.M.B. Signature Carlisle Clutch I definitely like. I love how the bag can be held using the double handles, or how the handles can be folded down and the clutch carried just as that, a clutch. The print on this great. The earth-toned colors are soft yet rich. I like the leather trim at the edges; the color of the leather goes really well with the print. More than anything, this is just one of those handbags that simply “works”. It is functional, fashionable and fun. Buy through Shop Bop for $425.

Have your holiday parties started yet? I have noticed that despite issues with the economy, holiday parties are still something many look forward to. I have friends who’ve mentioned that their office parties are going to scale back a bit, but regardless, office parties will still be held. After a long year, there is something special about celebrating the holidays and the end of the year with people in your lives. And, hey, you want to look good too, right? The BCBGMAXAZRIA Mini Satin Bow Wristlet is a fun and stylish way to tote around your essentials to a variety of holiday parties. The banded handbag with ruffled sides can spice up your favorite little black dress or accompany a bold outfit. I like the gold chain that fits perfectly on your wrist which does nothing but make carrying the handbag absolutely simple. Buy through

So, how do you guys feel about blue and black? Like, as a color combination? Because I used to hate it, but now I kind of dig it. Kind of really dig it, actually. For some reason, I feel like it’s a bit more intellectual and sophisticated than merely pairing red and black or brown and blue. The slight but noticeable difference in the shades can be very attention-getting, and when done correctly, no one ever wonders whether or not you meant to do it or just got dressed in the dark and mistook the blue for its darker counterpart. A good example of the correct way to combine the colors is the Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Mini Combo Tote in the Navy Luxe/Black Quilted Patent combination. Not only do the leathers differ in color, but they differ widely in texture, forcing whoever sees your handbag to notice and think about the nontraditional combination you chose. Plus, although the leather is navy, it’s just light enough to not make anyone wonder whether it just faded differently than the patent. I’m not a huge fan of bicolor bags, but this one hits the perfect, modern note. Buy through
