Alright, help me out folks, it is time to weigh in on a bag that I just can’t seem to wrap my head around. I found myself totally and utterly confused when I came across the Bulga Hamilton Studded Leather Flap Tote. There are aspects I can appreciate and then others that I think totally miss the mark.

Felix Rey Tuxedo Tote

Now this is a handbag whose designers thought out of the box a bit. I absolutely love the play on a tuxedo shirt that is adorned on this bag. I’ve been paying a bit more attention to Felix Rey bags lately and I am glad that I am. I was thrilled when Amanda first covered the Felix Rey Manon Clutch and I’ve been taking note ever since. Almost every bag I’ve come across since has been unique and whimsical. Just as I’ve become accustomed to, the Felix Rey Tuxedo Tote is a girly, whimsical tote that would be a perfect way to feminize any outfit.

Here’s the thing. A while ago, when the Marc By Marc Jacobs Miss Marc tee shirts came out, I was totally against them. You could even say I was creeped out. A Nighmare-Before-Christmas-esque girl smack dab in the middle of my shirt? No thanks. But my sentiments towards Miss Marc promptly changed when I spotted this Marc By Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Coin Purse.

You see, I carry a lot of pens and pencils and colored pencils (really, who knows when I might need them) with me, that student’s curse. I’m therefore always on the lookout for fun pen pouch to throw in my bag so that I don’t get pen marks on my bag’s lining. And this little purse certainly fits the bill. It’s certainly the right size for my writing utensils, and the fun design ensures that it’ll be found even in a black-lined bag.

Interesting, this is a very interesting bag. I am trying to figure out if I like this Kooba or if it misses the mark. So, I am going to break down the bag and try to figure out if I like this bag or not. No matter what, I have to admit the Kooba Isabella Saddle Bag boasts detailing that you don’t see every day. The first thing that made me stop and look at this bag a bit more was the color.

Madwell Metallic Mini Messenger Bag

Well, well, well, now look at this metallic bag. I am not usually a huge fan of small messenger bags since well, I’m not really a huge fan of messenger bags in general. More than that, I worry that a mini messenger like this might look absolutely ridiculous on me. However, I am a firm believer in exceptions to rules and this is a bag I might have to bend the rules for.

LeSportsac Pearl Lightning Drew Backpack

I was never much of a backpack girl after, say, eight grade. Once the teens set in, it was just so lame to carry a backpack.

Well, now that I’m in my 20s and I have no idea what 14-year-olds might consider cool (nor do I care), I find myself kind of enjoying the LeSportsac Pearl Lightning Drew Backpack. I have no use for it and even if I did, I would probably get it dirty, but this shiny little backpack is oddly appealing.

Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mini Bag

I can’t help it; I’ve been itching to write about this Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mini Bag ever since I saw it on the Rebecca Minkoff Flash Sale. Now I’ve just been staring at it on Shopbop, day in and day out, unable to tear my eyes away from that utterly dreamy, deep prussian blue. It’s just such a regal color.

And, it may be strange for me to say, but I love when small things have a dignified air. Take for example Pomeranians. It’s a digression from bags, but these tiny dogs think they’re massively powerful, and aren’t afraid to bark up the big dogs. In the same way, this Mini Mini packs a punch in a shade fit for royalty. Plus this itty bag has all the same fun qualities in any Rebecca Minkoff Bag- smooth leather, bright hardware, and a color that pops, besides that recognizable little flap.

LAI Patent Pamela Top Handle

There are few things more glamorous than a really great patent bag. Because of the overwhelming shininess, it can be hard to create one that’s not either tacky or mumsy, but when it happens, it’s beautiful. Which is exactly what the LAI Patent Pamela Top Handle is. The success or failure of a patent bag rests mainly on two features: color and shape. Luckily, this bag hits them both out of the park.

Kate Spade Quilted Poppy Fields Maryanne Tote

Now lookie at what we have here. Hmmm. There is something that I kind of like about it but I can’t quite put my finger on. Well, first of all, I have yet to own a red handbag. I realize I probably should at least have a red clutch, but that isn’t the case. I am trying to diversify my handbag collection and I am pretty sure a red handbag is much needed. So will a Kate Spade bag be one to break into my collection? Maybe!

Marc by Marc Jacobs Natasha Classic Q Shoulder Bag

No kidding: I’m approximately a half second away from ordering the Marc by Marc Jacobs Natasha Classic Q Shoulder Bag on Net-a-Porter. I’m barely restraining myself. The color? Beautiful. The leather? Soft. The size? Functional. The price? Reasonable.
