MICHAEL Michael Kors Large Clutch

If there’s something that I consistently love, it’s a big metallic clutch. Clutches are reasonably priced and therefore less guilt-inducing to buy, and a metallic clutch in particular is glamorous and versatile in a way that precious few other fashion items are – I would equate them to a really great pair of sexy black patent heels. Mix ‘em, match ‘em, they’re always in style as long as you wear them with confidence. And with a clutch as cute as the MICHAEL Michael Kors Large Clutch, there’s no reason not own your look.

Santi Beaded Disco Bag

Last week, we spoke briefly about the “disco” component of the Foley + Corinna Disco City Bag. To me, it seemed kind of lacking in the showy, shiny disco spirit. Sure, it’s a little bag that you could strap on and take to a club, but doesn’t “disco” mean more than that?

Obviously I’m not the only one that thinks that disco means something slightly more grand and glittery, because the Santi Beaded Disco Bag is definitely much more of an embodiment of the word as I understand it.

This is truly a type of handbag I’d like to see more of. I am satisfied enough with what I see to place it in the “winner” category, but I am also a bit eager to see it in person (which admittedly I have not done yet). This is the kind of bag that I took a look at and instantly wanted to know more about. I am always intrigued by lesser known designers and have a soft spot for them in my heart. I mean, even Chanel was a lesser known designer way back when.

Kate Spade Sherwood Owl Handbag

Oh my God. You guys. Not only does the Kate Spade Sherwood Owl Handbag have eyes, a metallic beak, and suede feathers, but it has feet.

I am almost too awed by the cojones that it took to actually design, manufacture and distribute this bag to say anything negative about it. And I don’t mean that in any sort of sarcastic way – it almost makes it all the way down the awesome-awful continuum and flips back around to awesome.

Ah, the Rebecca Minkoff Nikki Bag is like coming home. You know the feeling. No matter where you live or how long it has been since you’ve been home, more often than not when you do return home, you are able to breathe a sigh of relief. This is how I feel about Rebecca Minkoff’s Nikki Bag. No matter what color, I always breathe a pleasant sigh of relief.

Treesje Poppy HoboFall handbags are in full swing and I am in heaven. For those of you who live in places that actually get all four seasons of the year, are you having a cooler week? I continuously get emails, calls and texts from friends who are saying how crisp the air has felt this week. I shouldn’t complain, San Diego weather is fabulous, but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit envious. Fall might be my all time favorite time of the year and I need a scrumptious handbag to carry during these months!

So many people were in love with the Marc Jacobs Petal to the Metal Sasha Shoulder Bag when we wrote about it last month that i couldn’t wait for other bags from the line to start showing up online. With such an obvious hit on their hands, they had to have more waiting in the wings, right?

Right indeed! The Marc by Marc Jacobs Petal to the Metal Flap Pouchette is the smaller, less expensive version that still has all the attitude of the original.

Shopbop Revamps and it’s GOOD!

Shopbop

There are times when sites revamp and they fail… miserably. And there are other times when sites revamp and I can barely contain my excitement. Case in point: Shopbop. This wonderful and might I say go-to site just launched their revamp with the world and it is glorious! The site is not only new, but it is much easier to navigate. Plus, the primary item images are much bigger than before. I’ve been checking out the new site all day and I suggest you do the same. However, I should warn you… you might find yourself buying quite a bit more. But hey, is that really horrible? Check out the new Shopbop!

Kooba Partners with Bravo TV’s NYC Prep

Kooba and NYC Prep

I am all about collaborations. I love when the Purse Blog team partners up with designers and I love with designers partner with other designers, celebs and TV shows! For those of you who are addicted to tv shows on Bravo as much as I am, you’ve already heard about the new partnership they are doing with Kooba.

Kooba has created unique handbags in colors just for the spoiled girls of NYC Prep. I’ve caught the show a few times and while some of the kids (yes, these are kids) seem semi-normal, many of them seem like total spoiled brats. These spoiled socialites can be spotted carrying classic Kooba designs in custom colors just for the girls. It is great to see one of my favorite handbag designers on the screen! Check out NYC Prep and see if you can spot one of the great Kooba bags!
