It was just yesterday that I was saying I had never liked a drawstring bag before, wasn’t it? It seems like as soon as I make a generality like that about any bag attribute, bags that I love that also share that characteristic start falling from the sky. First, it was the Rebecca Minkoff Tess Drawstring Bag – black leather, ultra useful, gorgeous.
And now, the object of my drawstring affections is the Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Drawstringy Satchel. I can only anticipate their being a third drawstring bag to prove me wrong tomorrow. Things tend to come in threes, after all.
Isn’t it pretty? I think it is. The bag is simple and functional, but the placement of the drawstring gives it a satisfying slouch that is often hard to find in a tote or satchel. We already know that the leather on all of the Classic Q bags is fantastic, so I’m having a hard time finding something not to like here. Buy through ShopBop for $528.

I absolutely love Marc Jacobs!!! I was online just last week drooling over his resort 2010 collection and came across this fine piece of string and leather! I work in the handbags dept, at a major department store, so I stay pretty current on new bags. I walk into my store and there it is the bag that I would run over anyone in my way to get to for the fall. We only have it in black and orange at the moment, i hear it comes in the faded aluminum (grey) so hopefully we receive it soon. BUT ANYONE INTERESTED IN THE BAG..LET ME KNOW LOL. go out and see it, play with the string and fall in love!
I don’t think that there’s a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag that I don’t like. This is another chic, practical hit.
I checked out this bag IRL and the leather is TDF! The only negative I found is the bag weighs 3 lbs. empty! After I place my contents in the thought of lucking a five pound bag hurts!
I am really loving the Marc by Marc Jacobs bags. Every time I see them I want them more and more.
