Kate Spade Jubilee Stripe Stevie Baby Bag

The popularity of striped, bright baby bags still continues to slightly baffle me, just as it did the last time I wrote about one. My questions still stand: doesn’t the pattern make it hard to incorporate into most outfits? Wouldn’t new moms feel a bit more like themselves if they were carrying a bag that looked like something they’d normally carry, rather than a bag that screams OMG DIAPERS?

Having not had a child myself, I suppose I just can’t understand. Despite that, I think that the Kate Spade Jubilee Stripe Stevie Baby Bag may be a happy medium from what I would conceptualize as a stylish bag and the busy paisley patterns that many moms seem to choose.

Oh, Kate Spade. There is one thing I know for sure about Kate Spade handbags; there really is something out there for just about everyone. Some bags are better for more of a mature age group while others can even be carried by teenagers, including those not on Gossip Girl. The other great thing about this wide spectrum of designs and patterns is that many of them cross over age groups. Just like this one.

It has been pointed out to me recently that I don’t do a very good job mixing color into my winter wardrobe. In all reality, I don’t do that great of a job mixing it into my summer wardrobe either – I have a deep and abiding affection for black and grey. They’re kind of my thing. It’s not that I don’t own color – I own lots of it – but it’s just not the stuff I reach for when I’m running out the door, and I’m almost always running. I’m not much for well-coordinated social scheduling.

I usually do a pretty good job with colorful bags, however – I only own one that could be considered a traditional neutral. So I’m thinking that if I ignore my previous distaste for multicolored bags, I might be able to find something cute around which I can build an outfit that uses both color and my black favorites. Obviously, the perfect candidate for this experiment would be the Kate Spade Carousel Naomi Bag.

Kate Spade Sea Worthy Tweed Nelly Shoulder Bag

Two things came to mind when I saw this bag today. The first one being, now *this* is a classic Kate Spade handbag. The second being, this bag is one Charlotte from Sex and the City would totally rock. Do you see it too?

When it comes to tweed I find that it is often hit or miss. If not executed perfectly, or close to it, the bag will look completely frumpy. Yet, frumpy this bag is not.

I have to say, I miss the change of seasons. More than that, I miss the glorious array of colors displayed on trees in the north during the Fall. There are so many shades of one color that I usually am at complete and total awe. Then, for some reason, these kinds of staples make me think about handbag staples. There are designers and designs that fall into this category. Kate Spade definitely produces classic bags perfect for any season.

We got such an awesome response when I wrote about the Kate Spade Sherwood Owl Bag back in September that when I saw the petite, adorable Kate Spade Sherwood Coin Purse, I couldn’t not say something.

And when I look back at the previous owl bag, I like it way more than I did when I originally wrote about it. Its personality and inventiveness have grown on me exponentially, and as such, I intend to drool praise on this smaller iteration quite a bit. Be prepared. Maybe wear a poncho.

Kate Spade Par Avion Airline Cosmetic Case

Now, this is just absolutely clever. In fact, coming across the Kate Spade Par Avion Airline Cosmetic Case today was perfect timing because I really need a new cosmetic case. I’ve had the same one for a few years now and it has held up really well. As it gets dirty, I clean it, but I am thinking it is just time to pitch the one I have and replace it with a new one. When it comes to cosmetic cases, I don’t like to go too fancy because, let’s be honest, it is just going to get super dirty super quickly.

Alright, seeing as though it is November, I am actually confused as to why the Kate Spade Bow Tote is being offered over at Saks. It doesn’t take a handbag guru to look at this bag and realize that it does not fit into the season at hand. However, I am going to try and move on from how out of place this bag seems during this time of the year and actually just focus on the bag itself.

Now lookie at what we have here. Hmmm. There is something that I kind of like about it but I can’t quite put my finger on. Well, first of all, I have yet to own a red handbag. I realize I probably should at least have a red clutch, but that isn’t the case. I am trying to diversify my handbag collection and I am pretty sure a red handbag is much needed. So will a Kate Spade bag be one to break into my collection? Maybe!

And you should start with the Kate Spade El Morocco Paola Clutch.
